Happy Birthday!: A Dedication

My Posse – Ryan, Brandon and Lillian

Five years ago, to the day,  I decided to follow my muse.  Since then, everything has led up to creating this blog.  So, today I officially launch Destination Enlightenment as a reminder of that day,  which  also happens to be my dear husband Ryan’s birthday!

I’d like to dedicate this website to him because without his quiet support I don’t know if I would have had the courage to put myself out there.  If you read this blog long enough you’ll come to understand that my message is to be authentic; to be true to yourself.  If you can do this, you’ll connect with spirit and help liberate yourself from ego; live a more integrated spiritual/physical existence.  And though I know this and work very hard to maintain it, I’m still a work in progress.  For example, when I declared to Ryan that I was ready to start an anonymous blog his response was, “Do you really think you can keep it a secret?  If you tell one person you may as well tell everyone. If you’re gonna do this, just be who you are and do it.”

I knew he was right.  After all, we often preach what we ourselves need to practice.  So I sat with it for a few days and decided to just be my self, my authentic, true self.

Dedication

For Ryan ~ I treasure your acceptance of who I truly am more than you know. Thank you for giving me the encouragement I need to express myself even when I know it is outside of your comfort zone.  Happy 40th Birthday! I love you.

And to Brandon and Lillian ~ being your mom opened me up to understanding the true meaning of unconditional love.  Thank you for that.  I love you for infinity and beyond, eternity, forever and unconditionally no matter what.

Forever and Always.

Love,

~Brandi (Mom)
