Isn’t that the million dollar question?  As I ‘ve stated before I believe we are spiritual beings having a human experience.  With that being said, I think we are here to learn, to evolve as soul; that Earth is more of a school where we are tested and challenged to grow.  I think our lesson is three-fold:  We come here to find our faith, find our purpose, and understand our karmic lesson.

I think before we are born we are eager to embark upon the beautiful challenges (as painful as they may be) our life will provide, that we get to co-create our life circumstances, that we look forward to the life before us because if we are successful – we evolve as soul.  How rewarding is that?  However, amnesia hits when we are born, and that’s when the journey begins.

We come to find our faith to connect with God or whatever you wish to call it.  It doesn’t matter, we just need to connect with the divine in whatever form that takes.

We come to find our purpose – this is huge and can cause  a lot of anxiety.  But the simplicity of it is to be true to you, and the struggle of it is trusting that it will all work out.  The paradox of purpose is that following your bliss will lead you though many challenges, but the reward will be great.

To understand our karmic lesson – this is something I believe we choose to work out in this life before we come.  We will work on it throughout our whole life.  The patterns and challenges we struggle with will keep repeating themselves until we get it.  And then just when you think you’ve worked it out it will play out again on a deeper level, another layer of complexity until you get that.  And then finally you understand why, and what you need to learn.  That’s when the healing begins, and life begins to flow more smoothly because you are aware and now practicing what you came to learn with eyes wide open.

For me, I have my faith, my purpose is a work-in-progress, and I ‘ve recently discovered my karmic lesson (that was a biggie-whoo!).

I know why I am here, and I whole heartedly accept the challenge.  I know I am growing.  Growth isn’t always easy, but it is progress.  To be successful on this journey one must be fueled with accountability and love.  With accountability comes ownership of your life and choices, therefore empowerment.  You must have love, because without it how could you find your faith, connect with your purpose or appreciate your karmic lesson?

Yours Truly,

~Brandi

  1. Hi Brandi
I think we are born for relationship with ourselves, God and the world. To fully enjoy this we need to heal removing blocks to love. As we do this our purpose becomes more and more clear to us.Then we find our place in the world and feel fulfilled. The difficult thing sometimes is to know what is an issue that needs resolving and what is just us being us.
